Hi All! Tiffany here! I'm excited to share my latest creation with you. A few days ago, I finally got my hands on one of Deena's latest kits. American Made by My Mind's Eye. It's beautiful. I love the 4th of July holiday and knew that I really wanted to do some paper crafting. Ok, so here we go...
I started thinking about stars. I love stars, always have. I knew I wanted to do some kind of 3D stars. I found this great tutorial here. Instead of using a wreath form. I used cardboard, cut to shape of a wreath, then wrapped it in strips of tissue paper.
I did a little adjusting and added more stars, to give a little more dimension. Also, I added some of the punch-out embellishments from the kit. I thought they fit perfectly.
I especially love this button. My grandmother gave me a giant bin of buttons a while back. I love this vintage one. So cute on the dark blue polka dot.
I love that the paper is all double sided. Seriously, the best combinations and made life easier.
I added some inking here and there to the stars. I didn't want it to over-power the look, but wanted a little variety.
The 3D stars, honestly, not my very favorite project. They took quite a while to get all folded. I do love the way they came out. Next time, I think I'll glue the stars to a bigger wreath (more dimensional- a foam wreath maybe?
check back in the next few days for another paper-craft with the American Made kit! Happy Friday!!

LOVE this! Great job TIff!
