This is my favorite time of the year. The leaves are changing, the air is crisp. Seems like a great time for a FREEBIE- This cutting file is just a little bit of what you can get with my new Superstition Cutting Files release at Design House Digital.

Here is a preview and just a couple of projects I have done so far using my BLACKBIRD COLLECTION for My Mind's Eye and SUPERSTITION from Design House Digital.
For this really simple canvas project I used a $1 bin canvas from Michaels. The cat is a cut from the new Superstition Cutting Files, and the paper is from the Blackbird Collection.
For this easy to make dessert topper, I used my D-cut Basic Shapes for the circle scallop and inner circle. The spider is a cute cut from the new Superstition Cutting Files, and the paper is from the Blackbird Collection.
Time for summer and time for a new routine. I thought I would share what is keeping my kids on task, giving them some responsibility, and making it so I don't have to come up with a new job list everyday.
I made a wheel chart for daily and weekly chores. This download includes the chore wheel cut, plus png files of my chore chart that might work for you as well as it seems to be working for our family.
1. I printed out some of my favorite simple paper:
A Little Sketchy & Hotel California Steely Digital Paper
2. Cut out 2 SVG cuts of the chore wheel on my cricut.
3. Printed out my chore chart plus child names on white cardstock and hand-cut the circle outline.
4. Then I glued the steely paper circle onto my wheel, along with the child names.
5. After poking a hole through the center of all of the circles, I fastened a brad through the center and then glue dotted the "daily" and "weekly" circles to the top.
6. Final addition was gluing a magnet onto the back of the wheel to keep right on the fridge.

Here is a little extension of my cricut cartridge Storybook. Here is a little crown I made (2 pieces connected). This would be so cute at the base of a cake as a cake sash. I am sure you can come up with lots more creative-ness, too.

So, I have 4 children. The 3 oldest (and just keep getting older) are all boys. No more cutesy little gift- giving or getting for them.

For this easy project I downloaded the free svg cutting file. Then I used my new paper line, So Sophie, that I designed with Jen Allyson for My Mind's Eye. Don't be tricked into thinking this an all girlie line. It is feminine, but with so many great patterns and colors perfect for a masculine touch...especially the CHARMING color scheme.
